Girija Marathe

The great-granddaughter of the legendary Dada Saheb Phalke, is a renowned music composer and accomplished guitar player. Over the years, Girija has developed a unique and distinctive style of playing songs on the guitar, blending traditional and contemporary elements seamlessly. With over 35 years of teaching experience, she has imparted her knowledge to more than 2000 students across India and around the world. Her teaching methodology is systematic, innovative, and highly effective, making her a sought-after mentor in the field of music.
In addition to her expertise in guitar, Girija is a multi-instrumentalist, proficient in playing the Santoor, Piano, and Tabla. Her versatility extends to her compositions as well, having created over 50 songs, albums, and soundtracks for documentaries. Girija's contributions to music and her dedication to teaching have solidified her reputation as a true pioneer in the world of Indian music.
